This cloning/rooting substrate works great for rooting cuttings fast. Also can be used to directly start your seeds. Pre-added Clonex rooting hormone helps trigger your cuttings to root.The water absorption qualities of sphagnum moss combined with the adsorption and surface area qualities of perlite provide the perfect environment of moisture and air that newly formed roots need to flourish. This mix can be used in any hydroponic application in place of hydroton or rockwool or simply fill small cups or pots with the mix, poke a few holes in the bottoms and set them in a shallow dish of water. The water will be soaked up from the bottom. This mix is about 40% super course perlite and 60% sphagnum moss. If you would like a different ratio just send me a message after your purchase and I'll make a custom mix for you. I can also leave out the rooting hormone if you're going full organic. It will still work great. I also have this mix available with hydroponic net/mesh baskets included.
Tip: keep your cuttings in a high humidity environment by misting the leaves often and or making a humidity box for them. I'll share one idea that i came up with that only costs ( see last 2 pictures ). Just purchase 2 cake containers from any Dollor Tree store and use the 2 clear tops as your humidity chamber. Place one of the white bottoms that comes with them underneath to catch any water that might leak out. Then just mist the inside of the chamber every day or two. The reason for a setup like this is to keep the leaves of your cuttings alive and hydrated long enough for the rooting to take place.
Keep out of any direct sunlight or you will cook your cuttings.
P.S. Be aware that not all plants will root well from cuttings and 100% success does not always happen. A simple Google search and a little reading goes a long way to ensure you have an enjoyable experience!
