Vintage Autotransformer 118vac In To 245vac Out

Description

Designed for use with 100 watt mercury vapor bulb but could be used as a 250vdc .4 amp pot transformer for a tube amplifier. A volt doubler would provide over 400 vdc. The no load ac volts is 245v, at .4 amps ( approximately 100watt) the voltage is 220 volts. Designed to limit current the drop seems reasonable. It is a three wire Autotransformer and dot not isolate from the power line.
