Vintage French Lap Harp Metal

Description

Up for sale is a vintage lap harp. It has a painted metal top and a textured particle board back. The sound resonates in a metallic sounding way, which was interesting in an old sounding kind of way, at least to me who doesn't play any instruments. I haven't found any markings as to where it is originally from. The French do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si scale is embossed along the side.
The condition is pretty good. The gold paint is a tad choppy here and there. The back looks good, aside from a price written there that I tried to get off unsuccessfully. The lower octave sounds great from do to do. The higher one from re on sounds like it has some flats. I tried for a second to turn a knob with some needle nose pliers and found it difficult. It might not even be possible. Each note definitely goes up to say the least.
