    Description

Here we have a nice handmade 32” dulcimer - VSL, 28” - by one David W. Collins. (I can find no information in this maker; it came from Dallas, TX.)
Spruce top, walnut hourglass body, walnut fretboard, scroll peghead, metal geared tuners. Four strings. Bold sound for its relatively short size.
    There’s no 6 1/2 fret so I’m guessing a 1960s/1970s vintage.
There is an interesting heart deco on both sides of the scroll ... it appears to be glued-on (rather than carved out).
Other dimensions: upper bout, 5.5”; lower bout, 7.5”; depth, 2”. Takes both ball- and loop-end strings.
An excellent ... and inexpensive ... choice for players and collectors alke.
Will ship UPS Ground to Continental USA only.
